Subscription

How do I cancel?

In your store's subscription settings. On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Clefbound (or apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions). On Android: Google Play → your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions (or play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions). The app's Settings → Manage subscription takes you there too. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.

My subscription isn't showing

Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account you subscribed with, then tap Restore purchases on the subscription screen. It needs an internet connection.

Can I get a refund?

Payments go through Apple or Google, so they handle refunds: for the App Store at reportaproblem.apple.com, for Google Play in your Play account's order history.

Does my family get it too?

On iPhone, yes: the subscription works with Family Sharing.

Your progress

Moving to a new phone

Clefbound has no account: your progress is kept on your phone, and travels in the phone's own backup. Restore your new iPhone from an iCloud or computer backup, or your new Android phone from your Google backup, and your progress comes along. Progress can't move between an iPhone and an Android phone.

Starting over

Settings → Reset all progress clears everything on that phone. It can't be undone.

Playing

Using a MIDI keyboard

Plug a USB MIDI keyboard into your phone (with a USB-C cable, or Apple's camera adapter for a Lightning iPhone), or pair a Bluetooth MIDI keyboard with your phone first. Clefbound picks it up by itself: questions that ask for a note show the piano, and Note Blitz, songs and Rhythm Tap listen to your keys.

No sound

Check Settings → Sound in the app, your phone's volume, and on iPhone the silent switch or Action button.

Reminders don't arrive

Check that notifications are allowed for Clefbound in your phone's settings, and that the reminder is on in the app's Settings. On Android, battery savers can delay them: set Clefbound's battery use to unrestricted.
